Here’s a specific question about how some of his past songs seem a little country, as I previously noted. Glad things won’t be changing that much!

Lyrically, a lot of your past hits could be country songs. So is it safe to assume your writing style hasn’t changed much with this new album?

Yeah, definitely. The lyrics and the songwriting process are all the same. The only thing that really changed was the production, but not too much. I have some songs that are a crazy mix of different styles, but that’s because I didn’t have anybody telling me I couldn’t do it. And I could put a hip-hop album out, but I grew up on a farm! We grew up listening to country music our entire lives. My first concert was Randy Travis. My mom took me and Charles when we were kids. And then my dad took me the following week to see Vince Gill. And then we saw the Judds. My first five concerts were country.

I also love the story he shared about how he’s basically responsible for the formation and development of Lady Antebellum. Hilarious! Definitely check it out!

My note: I am not a country music fan. I like some crossover stuff like older Faith Hill, Shania, and LeAnn Rimes. Some of Taylor Swift’s and Carrie Underwood’s stuff is nice to me too. Josh has always had a little “country” in him. You can here it come out in certain songs like “Almost Honest”. I dig those. But fair warning that if I hear any twang, I’m out! That is the lone reason that I don’t enjoy most country music.

Meet Katherine Heigl’s new baby, Naleigh.

The Grey’s Anatomy actress and husband Josh Kelley have released the first photos of their daughter, a special-needs child they adopted from South Korea, on Heigl’s fundraising site.

“She was actually born the day before me in November, which I thought was really serendipitous and just kind of like a sign,” Heigl, 30, said when announcing the news of her adoption on The Ellen DeGeneres Show last week.

In addition to four intimate photos of the family, the site explains that Naleigh is just a nickname for Nancy Leigh – named after Heigl’s mother Nancy and Heigl’s sister Margaret Leigh.

Looks like somebody changed the subject.

“Katherine and Josh are adopting a baby,” the actress’s rep confirms to PEOPLE. The couple are adopting a girl from Korea; Heigl’s sister also was adopted from Korea.

Heigl, 30, who married Kelly in December 2007, recently hosted a baby shower for Ellen Pompeo. And last week, Heigl got a leave of absence from Grey’s Anatomy to film the movie Life As We Know It.

Singer-songwriter Josh Kelley is definitely excited about his upcoming tour with friend Ryan Cabrera.

But he’s also kinda nervous.

“On the tour I’m probably going to get my first tattoo,” Kelley, 29, tells PEOPLE. “I’ve talked about doing it for years and years now. Once it’s on there, I’m sticking with it, so it better be cool!”

The tattoo is just one of many shenanigans the duo is planning for their “Tell It Like It Is” tour this spring, featuring Kelley and Cabrera, 26, together onstage for a full show. “Two guys, one stage,” Kelley says, “kind of like Simon and Garfunkel stuff, except we like each other.”

Since meeting six years ago at a concert in San Francisco, the duo have searched for an opportunity to play together onstage, until now. During the show they’ll play some of each other’s favorite songs, tell jokes, and share stories.

“You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and you’ll go home happy,” Kelley says.

Starting April 15 in Gainesville, Fla., the pair will take to the road on a tricked-out tour bus featuring eight bunk beds, a lounge with surround sound speakers, flatscreen televisions – “and a stripper pole,” Cabrera jokes.

“Yeah right!” Kelley says, adding that his wife, Katherine Heigl, “would kill me if there was a stripper pole. No way, dude. I want to make it home alive.”

Kelley told PEOPLE last year that he always works harder when his Emmy Award-winning wife is in the audience. Which raises the question: Will Heigl – whose character on Grey’s Anatomy has been diagnosed with terminal cancer – be joining the boys on tour?

“Yeah, I think so,” Kelley says. “She loves to go out on the road with me. She feels like she’s kind of slummin’ it, hangin’ with the boys. She’ll probably come to the New York shows, because then I’ll have a hotel room and she won’t have to stay on the bus!”

Also, a handful of miscellaneous live performance have been announced. These include dates in L.A., Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and South Carolina. So far, the only two identified as part of the Josh/Ryan tour are the New Jersey show on May 8th and the PA stop on the following night.
